PAMUKKALE FULL DAY TOUR - (Daily departures start 09.00 end 19:00)
Departure from Selcuk or Kusadasi Hotels.
Meet up with your guide and drive to Pamukkale. Evolved over the millennia and from calcium mineral deposits, this spectacle of water filled formations is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblance to cotton piles that it is called Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis, which contains the biggest Nekropolis in Anatolia with 1200 gravestones. The sacred pool is one of the highlights of the site. The shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath.
Note: The temperature can get very hot during the summer months so don't forget to a hat, sunglasses, bathers and towel for swimming, water and of course your camera.
Approximate time to reach to Pamukkale is 2.5 hours.
